WELCOME TO METRIC MOTORS

Loveland's Top Rated Local® Auto Repair Company

It’s common for people to go long stretches of time without rotating their tires. After all, each of the four tires touches the ground the same amount of time, right? That may be true, but tires feel wear and tear differently depending on where they are located on the car and how you use your car.

Why should I rotate my tires?

To answer plainly: tires wear unevenly! Your front tires will wear out on the edges from you turning on street corners. If you avoid rotating them for a year or longer, it will wear them down even faster. You may need to replace your tires miles sooner than you would need to if you rotate them! Also, if your car is not aligned properly, it can cause one tire to take more of the wear than the other three.

How often should I rotate my tires?

Typically, you should rotate your tires somewhere between 3,000 and 6,000 miles. A good way to make sure you do this is to rotate the tires whenever you get your oil changed.

How do I know when my tires should be rotated?

As previously mentioned, try to rotate your tires each time you get your oil changed. However, if you detect a problem with alignment or unbalanced inflation levels of your tires, make sure you have Metric Motors correct the problem and rotate the tires. If your car is not aligned properly, chances are high that one or two tires have been working much harder than the others to keep your car moving.

When you are ready for car repair and maintenance, whether it be an oil change or a tire rotation (or both!), make sure to see Loveland’s expert auto repair shop: Metric Motors. We look forward to getting you back on the road safely!
